- 1 pinch kosher salt
Instructions
- Prepare the apple filling by cooking diced apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt until soft. Stir in flour to thicken.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Create the cupcake batter by combining flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; mix with creamed butter and sugar before adding eggs and milk.
- Assemble cupcakes by layering batter and apple filling in each liner. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Make the whipped cream topping by mixing softened cream cheese with sugar and folding in whipped heavy cream.
