- 1 bunch fresh basil (about 1/3 cup basil leaves)
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)
Instructions
- Layer slices of tomatoes on a serving platter.
- Tuck slices of mozzarella between the tomato layers for visual appeal.
- Add whole basil leaves between the cheese and tomato.
- Season with sea salt and black pepper.
- Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze to taste.
