- 5 Bok Choy Leaves
- 2 Green Onions
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Mixture
- 1 Star Anise
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 5 cups Broth (or Stock)
- 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- Juice of one Lime
Instructions
- Wash bok choy leaves thoroughly and slice. Separate the green stalks from the white bulbs of green onions.
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat, sautéing green onion bulbs until soft. Add ginger-garlic mixture and stir.
- Add sliced bok choy to the pan, cooking for about one minute before adding star anise, bay leaf, and cinnamon stick.
- Pour broth into the pan, season with soy sauce and vinegar, then bring to a boil. Simmer for 8–10 minutes.
- Stir in lime juice and discard whole spices before serving.
