- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 cups (364 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups (234 g) walnuts, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, beat cold butter with sugars until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together cake flour, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just blended.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts until evenly distributed.
- Divide dough into nine large portions and shape into balls without flattening them. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Bake for 10-11 minutes or until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
- Let cool on sheets before serving.
