- 2 cups softened butter
- 1 & 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Mix in vanilla extract and kosher salt until well combined.
- Gradually add flour one cup at a time; mix until just incorporated.
- Press two-thirds of the dough into the prepared pan evenly across the bottom.
- Spread fresh cranberries over the dough, then mix chopped walnuts into the remaining dough and scatter on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes before baking.
- Bake for 42-45 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
- Let cool for at least 10-20 minutes before cutting into squares.
