Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise; season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then coat lightly in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter; add sliced mushrooms and Italian seasoning. Cook until mushrooms release moisture (about 5-6 minutes).
- Stir in minced garlic; cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add white apple vinegar to deglaze the pan; let simmer until reduced by half (2-3 minutes).
- Stir in heavy cream; return chicken to skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes until cooked through and sauce thickens.
