Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Evenly distribute the torn sweet bread in the baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the bread and gently press down to help it soak.
- Allow soaking at room temperature for at least 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight for best results.
- Stir in cream cheese cubes and one cup of dark chocolate chunks after soaking.
- Top with remaining chocolate chunks and bake for about 45-55 minutes until golden brown and slightly jiggly in the center.
- Let cool for 15-20 minutes before serving warm.
