Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold the puff pastry on a clean surface and cut into squares measuring about 4×4 inches. Fold the edges inward to create a border.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Beat until smooth.
- Spoon the cream cheese filling into the center of each pastry square and top with cherry preserves.
- Brush the edges with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
