- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Microwave the cream cheese until soft, then set aside.
- Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise; season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; add chicken and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken and sauté onions in the same skillet for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Stir in chicken broth, softened cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes until smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet; warm through while stirring gently. Adjust sauce thickness with more broth if necessary.
