Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Stir in diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning; let simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place seasoned chicken in the baking dish and pour the tomato sauce over the top.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the chicken and sauce.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
