- 70 g unsalted butter
- 750 ml vegetable oil (for frying)
- 350 g chocolate spread
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine lukewarm milk, water, yeast, and sugar; let sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
- Mix together flour, eggs, egg yolk, salt, and the yeast mixture in a stand mixer or bowl; knead until smooth.
- Incorporate butter and knead for an additional few minutes.
- Cover the dough and let it rise at room temperature for about an hour; then refrigerate for another 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and cut into triangles; shape into croissants and allow them to rise until tripled in size.
- Heat oil in a deep pan; fry croissants until golden brown on both sides.
- Dust with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon after cooling slightly.
