- 250g Kunafa dough
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 180g Gulab Jamun mix
- 150g Fresh cream
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 5 cardamom pods
- 1 teaspoon saffron
- Pistachios for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the sugar syrup by dissolving sugar in water over medium heat and boiling. Add lemon juice, cardamom, and saffron off heat.
- Create gulab jamun dough per package instructions and shape into small balls.
- Deep fry until golden brown, then soak in sugar syrup for at least 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a cupcake pan.
- Coat kunafa strips with melted butter, shape into nests, and bake until crisp (12-15 minutes).
- Assemble desserts by placing fresh cream in each nest and topping with gulab jamuns. Drizzle with syrup and garnish with pistachios.
