Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 large egg
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 Tablespoons light brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons melted unsalted butter (or applesauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard 9×5'' loaf pan. Optionally, line the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas thoroughly. Stir in the egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the melted butter until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for approximately 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 5-10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
