- 1 to 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 cup cooking sake (or rice vinegar)
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2-inch ginger (peeled and coarsely diced)
- 1 scallion (cut into strips)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 1 tablespoon cooking sake (or rice vinegar)
- White sesame seeds
Instructions
- Clean and dry the chicken wings before marinating them in a mixture of soy sauce, cooking sake, sesame oil, ginger, and scallion for at least 30 minutes.
- For the glaze, combine honey, soy sauce, mirin, and cooking sake in a saucepan over low heat until thickened.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (207°C), line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and bake the marinated wings for 10 minutes.
- Brush generously with glaze and bake for another 20-25 minutes, glazing periodically until caramelized.
