Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 square baking pan.

- Combine the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract into the dry mixture until smooth.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cocoa powder; sprinkle over the cake batter.
- Carefully pour hot water over the mixture—do not stir.
- Bake for about 35 minutes until set. Let cool slightly before serving.
