- 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 slices chicken (thinly sliced)
- 8 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 egg (beaten for egg wash)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Layer the chicken slices evenly over the pastry, followed by the cheese slices. Add Dijon mustard if desired.
- Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and gently press the edges to seal. Crimp with a fork.
- Brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares and serving warm.
