- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated Asiago cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth.
- Once bubbling, mix in grated Asiago cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning if desired.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to soak in the sauce for about five minutes.
- Transfer to the prepared baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until heated through. Serve hot.
