- 1 package Puff Pastry
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 medium Yellow Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 8 oz Cremini Mushrooms
- 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme
- Salt and Black Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup Vegetable Broth (optional)
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 cup Gruyère Cheese
- 1 large Egg (or cream/milk)
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the filling by sautéing diced onion in butter and olive oil until softened. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking until tender. Season with thyme, salt, pepper, and broth.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, Gruyère cheese, and parsley with the cooled mushroom mixture.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle and cut slits along the sides. Spread filling down the center and braid the pastry over it.
- Brush with egg wash and bake for about 22 minutes until golden brown.
