- ½ cup diced jalapeños
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix warm water with sugar and sprinkle yeast on top. Let it sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt; create a well in the center.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the flour well along with olive oil; mix until combined.
- Fold in cheddar cheese and jalapeños evenly throughout the dough.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down risen dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
