- 1 cup salted butter, softened at room temperature
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour, spooned & leveled or weighed out (390 grams)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 and 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter with electric mixer until smooth. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar; mix until well combined. Incorporate vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt) until dough forms. Fold in both types of chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into 10 balls and chill in an airtight container for at least 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place cookie balls on parchment-lined sheets and bake for 12–16 minutes.
- Sprinkle warm cookies with flaky sea salt before serving.
