Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until clear to remove excess starch.
- In a medium pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the rinsed rice and salt; toast for about 3 minutes.
- Stir in water, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and sprinkle with turmeric if desired. Garnish with parsley before serving.
