- 3 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp almond extract
- ¼ tsp pink gel food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until well mixed.
- In another large bowl, cream the room-temperature butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract, almond extract, and pink gel food coloring until combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chopped maraschino cherries.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
