Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C and grease a 23 cm round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- Stir in lemon zest and juice until fully combined.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt; mix gently until just combined.
- Gradually add milk while stirring to achieve a smooth batter.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
- While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice to create the glaze.
- Cool the cake for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack and drizzle with warm glaze.
