Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix package instructions.
- In a small saucepan, whisk together sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium-high heat until thickened (about 15 minutes).
- Prepare the brownie batter according to package instructions.
- Grease your baking pan and pour in the brownie batter; bake for 20 minutes.
- Stir chopped pecans into the pecan filling mixture and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove brownies from the oven, pour the pecan filling on top evenly, and return to the oven for an additional 25-30 minutes.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
