Ingredients
- 6 Fresh organic lemons
- 750 ml High-quality lemon juice
- 400 g Granulated sugar (adjustable)
- 500 ml Water
- 200 g Additional sugar for sweetening
- 200 ml Additional water for sweetening
Instructions
- Wash and zest the lemons carefully.
- In a large glass jar, combine the lemon zest with 750 ml of lemon juice. Seal tightly and let sit for 24 hours in a cool place.
- Meanwhile, create a sugar syrup by heating 400 g of granulated sugar with 500 ml of water until dissolved; let cool.
- After 24 hours, strain the lemon mixture into another container and mix in the cooled sugar syrup.
- For added sweetness, dissolve an additional 200 g of sugar in 200 ml of clean water and adjust to taste.
- Transfer to bottles and refrigerate until ready to serve.
