Instructions
- Peel and core the apples; cut them into thick fry-shaped sticks and toss with lemon juice.
- Set up a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko mixed with cinnamon and salt in the last bowl.
- Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with panko mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C) and fry the apple fries in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- For the salted caramel sauce, melt granulated sugar in a medium saucepan until amber-colored; add butter and stir until melted. Slowly whisk in heavy cream and sea salt; cool slightly before serving.
