Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture in thirds, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Using an ice cream scoop, portion dough onto the lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Press additional chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden but centers are still soft. Cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
