- 12 oz short pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 1 lb chicken sausage, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Optional: red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and reserve some pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the sliced chicken sausage until browned on both sides; remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth; simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return sausage to the skillet and mix well. Toss in cooked pasta and add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
- Stir in butter until melted; season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley before serving.
