  • 2 cans kidney beans (15 oz each), drained and rinsed
  • 1 can pinto beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 23 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare vegetables by dicing the onion and bell pepper and mincing the garlic.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, kidney beans, pinto beans, and spices.
  5. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with preferred toppings such as shredded cheese or avocado slices.
