  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Serves approximately 6

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fusilli pasta
  • 1 pound chicken sausage (sliced)
  • 1/2 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 15 ounces Alfredo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: Minced parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fusilli pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear the shrimp for about one minute on each side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned on both sides, about 6 minutes total. Add sliced bell peppers and onion; sauté for 5 minutes until softened, then add minced garlic for the last minute.
  4. Stir in the Alfredo sauce, reserved pasta water, Cajun seasoning, and bring to a simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet along with cooked pasta; mix until well combined. Adjust sauce consistency with more reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Serve garnished with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese.
