Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix oil (and applesauce if using), sugar, and vanilla until blended.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the shredded zucchini until fully incorporated.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cooling, prepare frosting by melting cocoa powder and butter together; mix with powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Frost cooled brownies before slicing into squares.
