- 8 tablespoons butter
- 4 1/2 cups sugar
- 12 ounces evaporated milk
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 ounces milk chocolate chips
- 14 ounces vegan marshmallows crème
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- In a heavy bottom saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and evaporated milk. Heat on high while stirring continuously until it reaches a rolling boil.
- Cook for about 5 minutes until it reaches 'soft ball' stage (234-240°F). If you don’t have a thermometer, test by dropping a small dollop into cold water—if it forms a soft ball, it’s ready.
- Remove from heat and stir in both types of chocolate chips and vegan marshmallows crème until well combined. Add vanilla and fold in nuts.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Let cool completely at room temperature before cutting into squares.
