- ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly for crumble
- 1 cup (125 g) confectioners' sugar for glaze
- 1 tablespoon whole milk for glaze
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract for glaze
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it rest for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add half the vegetable oil and mix in all-purpose flour and kosher salt until sticky dough forms.
- Transfer to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a pizza pan with parchment paper.
- Shape risen dough on the pan, create dimples on top, and bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
- Mix melted butter and granulated sugar; brush over the baked crust.
- Spread cherry filling evenly over the crust.
- For the crumble topping, combine flour, sugars, salt, and melted butter until clumps form; sprinkle over cherry filling.
- Bake for another 13-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk confectioners' sugar with milk and almond extract; drizzle over warm pizza before serving.
