- 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet brown gravy mix (or homemade)
- 1 cup apple vinegar (or chicken broth)
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 3/4 lb. thin spaghetti
- Olive oil and butter for cooking
- 1 small yellow onion (sliced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon EACH: Italian seasoning, parsley, mustard powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Prepare the gravy mixture by combining the brown gravy packet with water and tomato sauce; set aside.
- Cut chicken into cubes, season with salt and pepper, then coat in flour.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
- Add apple vinegar to deglaze the pan, then cook onions in butter until soft.
- Stir in garlic before adding the gravy mixture; bring to a boil then simmer.
- Return chicken to skillet to warm through.
- Cook spaghetti until al dente and drain; toss with sauce before serving.
