  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • Sweet cherries (for garnish)
  • Vegan yogurt
  • Cacao nibs
  • Shaved chocolate

Instructions

  1. Cook the cherry compote by simmering pitted cherries and maple syrup in a small pot for 6-8 minutes until soft. Let cool.
  2. In two containers, mix together oats, soy milk, maple syrup, and chia seeds. Add almond extract to one container and vanilla extract with cacao powder to the other. Shake well.
  3. Refrigerate both mixtures overnight to allow flavors to meld.
  4. To assemble, layer cherry compote at the bottom of serving jars followed by chocolate-flavored oats and then regular oats. Garnish as desired.
