Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread chopped onion in a baking dish and place butter pieces on top. Bake for about 15 minutes until onions start to brown.
  2. While onions are baking, mix together dried thyme, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Rub this mixture over the chicken drumsticks.
  3. Once onions are browned, layer uncooked rice evenly on top. Pour chicken stock and water over the rice; add minced garlic and stir.
  4. Arrange seasoned drumsticks on top of the rice mixture and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
