- 2–3 lbs chicken breasts, cut into pieces
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil (for brushing)
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp BBQ rub
- 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts into even pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine milk, Sriracha sauce, salt, and sugar. Whisk and marinate chicken for at least one hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat smoker or grill to about 225°F (107°C).
- Remove chicken from marinade and dredge in a mixture of flour, BBQ rub, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt until fully coated.
- Smoke chicken pieces for approximately one hour or until they reach an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
- For extra crispiness, brush with vegetable oil before serving or place under a broiler for a few minutes.
